FBI Certified Negotiator
In February of 2025 I sought out, attended, and completed a Hostage/Crisis Negotiator school taught by FBI negotiation instructors and response team members.
2023 Deputy of the Year
In 2023, I was selected as the Deputy of the Year for my local County, during attendance at an annual banquet hosted by our Crime Victims Assistance Office. I have approximately 8 years employment at my agency.
Certified in Cybersecurity by ISC2
In May 2025 I completed the ISC2 CC course and exam. I am an ISC2 member and hold a certification in Cybersecurity. I am currently studying NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCF) 2.0.
United States Marine Veteran
In 2012 I enlisted into the United States Marine Corps after graduating high school, where I was trained in HVAC skills. I deployed to Afghanistan, and performed initial installation and preventative maintenance on critical systems.
Patrol Sergeant
In April of 2024 I was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Sergeant, and have since led a shift of Deputies in my charge through successful operation, and acted as the highest ranking county law enforcement officer on duty outside of normal business hours.
Certified Instructor
In May of 2023 I was selected for, attended, and completed an Instructor school, enabling me to teach mandated classes and optional courses to other law enforcement officers.
Former Corrections Officer
From January of 2018 to December of 2019, I served as a Corrections Officer in my county’s local jail. My employment as a CO concluded when my agency sponsored me to attend the Police Academy, and I then began employment as a Patrol Deputy.
Field Training Officer
In August of 2022 I was selected as a Field Training Officer, tasked with training new Deputies and ensuring they are successful as Law Enforcement Officers.
SWAT Drone Pilot
In May of 2023 I completed an exam for and attained a license through the FAA to operate Unmanned Aerial Systems, and I operate our SWAT team’s drones during high-risk warrants and rescues.
